DREAM TARTSACADEMY

You don't have to figure it all out from scratch.

After years of building Dream Tarts from my home kitchen into a real dessert business, I'm exploring something I've never offered before.

Dream Tarts Academy will be created for aspiring and existing entrepreneurs who want to learn the product, systems and real business lessons behind building a dessert business.

This is not a franchise. You'll learn from what I've built — so you can build something of your own.

Dream Tarts Academy

MORE THAN A RECIPE.

Learn from the real systems, techniques and lessons behind Dream Tarts.

Dream Tarts wasn't built overnight. It took years of testing recipes, changing products, learning production, understanding pricing, building a team and figuring out what actually works.

Dream Tarts Academy is being explored as a way to bring those lessons together for people who want to create something of their own.

THE PRODUCT

Learn the foundations behind tart-style desserts — from dough, creams and fillings to assembly, decorating, storage and consistency.

THE PRODUCTION

Explore how a product goes from being made one at a time to being produced efficiently and consistently as orders grow.

THE BUSINESS

Learn about costing, pricing, packaging, ordering, customer experience and the operational decisions behind running a real dessert business.

THE BRAND

Learn how product presentation, positioning, marketing and customer trust can help turn a dessert into a recognizable brand.

Built from real experience. Including the things that worked — and the things that didn't.

Is Dream Tarts Academy for you?

For people who want to build something of their own.

You don't need to already own a bakery.

You may have an idea you've been thinking about for years. You may already sell desserts from home. Or you may already own a business and be ready to build something new.

What matters most is that you're serious about learning, willing to do the work and excited about creating a business of your own.

Aspiring founders

You want to start a dessert business but don't know where to begin. You want a clearer path instead of figuring out every step through trial and error.

Home-based bakers

You've already started making or selling desserts and want to improve your product, pricing, production and business systems.

Existing entrepreneurs

You already understand business and want to explore a new dessert concept, product line or revenue stream.

If that sounds like you, I'd love to learn more about what you're trying to build.

MEET YOUR FOUNDER

FROM MY KITCHEN TO DREAM TARTS.

I'm Diana, founder of YEG Dream Tarts.

I didn't go to pastry school. I didn't have professional baking experience. And when I started, I definitely didn't have a perfect plan.

I started from home in 2020 with an idea and a lot to figure out.

My first Dream Tart sold for $45. The feedback? The cream was delicious — but the tart was hard as a rock.

So I started again.

For more than a year, I tested recipes, changed them, failed, tried again and kept improving until the product became what Dream Tarts is today.

But learning the product was only the beginning.

I had to learn how to price it, sell it, market it, produce more of it, manage orders, hire a team, open a storefront and make decisions when things didn't go according to plan.

Over the years, Dream Tarts grew from something I made at home into a real Edmonton dessert business serving thousands of customers.

And I'm still building it.

Dream Tarts Academy is my way of exploring whether everything I've learned — the good, the bad and the lessons — can help someone else start with a clearer path than I had.

“I can't promise you what your business will become. But I can teach you what it took to build mine.”
